In their words

2:58 Marathon, plus PBs at 5K, 10K and Half Marathon
Todd's understanding of human physiology, and of the physical and mental demands of training, makes it feel like I've got a whole team behind me. I've had a big jump in work capacity, and I've PB'd my 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon since working with him, plus new levels in HYROX.Read more

Sub-60 HYROX Mixed Doubles and 1:04 Women's Doubles
Since training with Todd my running and fitness has gone to a whole new level. I can't believe I achieved a sub-60 mixed doubles and 1:04 women's doubles. I feel stronger, fitter and so much more confident in my training and running. He's so knowledgeable and always supportive and responsive, which is needed when I'm dedicating so much of my time to my training.Read more

5 HYROX podium flags. PBs across Solo Pro, Mixed Doubles and Men's Doubles
Since working with Todd, not only has my fitness and endurance come on in leaps and bounds, I understand the why behind all of my training so much more. I've PB'd comfortably in HYROX Solo Pro, Mixed Doubles and Men's Doubles, and it feels easier while I'm doing it.Read more

Elite 15 Doubles, HYROX APAC Championships 2026. Multiple event wins and podium flags across Solo and Doubles
Todd's coaching is elite - not only in his extensive knowledge and application of this knowledge as a coach (he ALWAYS explains the why) but also in how individualised it is. 12 months, using Vo2 Max/lactate testing as a guide, we looked at my strengths and weaknesses as an athlete, and set goals. The program he developed not only targeted these goals, but was adjusted constantly based on my crazy, changing schedule of a full-time working single mother of 2. 12 months on and the results speak for themselves. His coaching is one of a kind.Read more
The Coaching Team
Fortis Coaching is two coaches with complementary backgrounds across strength and conditioning, endurance sport and fitness racing, working with athletes who want programming that fits their life and moves them forward.

Todd Martin
Todd spent years in team sports, playing and coaching football with FFA accreditation, before going into strength and conditioning and functional fitness. More recently he's competed across long course triathlon and Ironman, adding an endurance dimension to an already broad athletic background.
Along the way he's been fortunate to learn from some of the best coaches, athletes and educators across every area that touches athletic performance. That exposure, combined with his own experience across S&C, functional fitness and endurance sport, has shaped a genuine understanding of how these qualities work together in programming that actually moves athletes forward.
Fortis Coaching exists because most athletes in these sports are being guided from only one side of that equation. Todd is focused on closing that gap.

Jack Elliott
Jack's passion for coaching comes from living the process himself. He's worked in strength and conditioning with senior football athletes, and coached runners and HYROX competitors.
He continues to compete in HYROX Pro and distance running, with multiple podiums and flags across APAC events and World Championship qualification to his name. Competing gives him firsthand insight into the demands of high performance sport, and it shapes the way he coaches.
As a busy father, Jack understands that balancing training with work, family and everyday life isn't always easy. That's why he believes great coaching isn't just about writing a program, it's about creating one that fits your lifestyle, keeps you accountable and helps you stay consistent.
The Pillars
Endurance Development
The base layer for everything. If your aerobic engine isn't big enough, race day will expose it fast. We build it deliberately and progressively so you go longer, recover faster, and handle more volume.
Threshold & Fatigue Resistance
Your threshold is the ceiling on what you can sustain, and raising it is one of the highest-leverage things you can train for any endurance or fitness racing event. On top of that we develop your ability to resist fatigue, so your pace, your form and your output hold together deep into a race when it actually matters.
Strength & Movement Economy
Strength that earns its place on race day. More efficient movement means less energy wasted on the road, the track, or in the arena. We train it because it makes you faster and more durable where it counts.
Training Structure
Hard days hard. Easy days easy. Most athletes live in the grey zone: working too hard to recover, not hard enough to adapt. Our polarised approach keeps every session purposeful. Morpheus readiness tracking is available as an option for athletes who want deeper recovery insights. See Platform below.
Delivered via
The FortisFam
Every Fortis athlete gets access to the FortisFam, our online community for discussion, questions, shared race experiences and ongoing education. Whether you're on a self-guided program or working 1:1, you're not doing this alone.
